Chris Davis & Brandon Parker showed the rest of the field a clean pair of heels leading from start to finish to secure their first ever Promenade Stages Rally Victory.

Davis' win was the first for 15 years by a non four wheel drive car. Indeed it was the very same car driven by previous owner Martin Elsdon in 1991 that last saw a two wheel drive car win the rally.

Runners up Lyndon Barton & Simon Hunter were always close behind but finished the day 13 seconds adrift. 3rd place went to Chris Wise & Tracey Taylor-West almost a minute further back in their Metro 6R4.

The entire rally field also joined in with a very moving procession run and balloon release to mark the input Richie Pearl had given to the event. Richie passed away shortly after the 2005 rally following a brief illness,
